Liquid-Metal Shooting Fusion Reactor

Duplicent’s liquid-metal shooting fusion reactor uses heated liquid metal which is fired into a core through shooting tubes positioned equidistantly around the core, where the heated liquid metal is fired onto two plasma shots in a timed fashion, with these plasma shots meeting at the core’s center as the heated liquid metal surrounds and compresses the plasma shots to form a fusion reaction. The heat of the fusion reaction is absorbed by the liquid metal around it, heating it further. After the fusion reaction, the heat of the liquid metal may be harvested to generate electricity, after which the cooled liquid metal may be reused to generate further fusion reactions through the reactor. A modified version of a similar existing fusion reactor, Duplicent's liquid-metal shooting fusion reactor may achieve a higher compression of the plasma and its smaller core may better preserve the heat of the fusion reaction in the liquid metal. The liquid-metal shooting fusion reactor may produce electricity without producing carbon emissions.

Transparent Reflecting Solar Panel

Duplicent’s transparent reflecting solar panel has a mirror on the bottom with the reflective surface facing upwards, above which are located transparent solar cells that may absorb sunlight in two directions: up and down, where the sunlight may be first absorbed by the solar cells as it passes through the solar panel from above, then the sunlight is reflected off the bottom mirror and may be absorbed by the transparent solar cells as the sunlight passes upwards. As the the transparent reflecting solar panel may absorb sunlight from two direction it may use the sunlight with a greater efficiency than that of current solar panels.

Accelerating Gravity Wheel

Duplicent’s accelerating gravity wheel includes a wheel that spins from gravity to produce electricity, where many weights are continually mechanically attached in series to the side of the wheel near the top of the wheel, and the many weights are mechanically removed at the bottom of the wheel in series, causing the wheel to spin and accelerate from the force of gravity on the weights, where raising the weights on the wheel would cause the wheel to slow, thus removing the weights at the bottom of the wheel prevents the wheel from slowing and accelerates the wheel. Once the weights are removed at the bottom of the wheel, the speed of the weights from their movement on the wheel is harnessed to raise the weights most of the way to the wheel’s weight attachment point near the top of the wheel, and a small amount of energy is used to raise the weights the rest of the way to the weight attachment point after harnessing their motion. The spinning of the wheel is harnessed to spin a generator to produce electricity, and some of the electricity produced by the generator is then used to raise the weights to the weight attachment point, where the excess electricity produced is used for the utility grid. As the wheel accelerates, it continues to produce additional electricity after time operating, because the electricity needed to raise the weights reduces as the wheel’s speed increases and the increased motion of the weights is harnessed, and from the increased speed of the wheel. As the wheel accelerates, the net production of electricity is positive. The device produces electricity without producing carbon emissions. Many of these devices could work together to produce a large amount of electricity to supply electricity to the utility grid.

2 granted U.S. patents (POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, United States of America, 11,339,765, 11,668,286).

Fluid Acceleration Chamber

Duplicent’s fluid acceleration chamber is composed of a cylindrical chamber containing fluid that is accelerated by motorized blades extending from the middle of the chamber, where once the fluid is accelerated, the fluid may continue to spin at a high speed from centripetal forces, with a small amount of energy required to maintain its speed. The moving fluid in the cylindrical chamber may be removed in small quantities to spin a turbine, which in turn may produce electricity. The slowed fluid may then be added back into the cylindrical chamber to reaccelerate it with the fluid inside the cylindrical chamber, where it may be reaccelerated without much energy because of the large volume of moving fluid in the cylindrical chamber. Whereas the fluid's speed may be conserved through the laws of centripetal motion, a small amount of electricity may be needed to maintain its speed, and where adding the slowed fluid to the large volume of moving fluid may require minimal energy to reaccelerate the slowed fluid, thus it may produce a net positive amount of electricity. Some of the electricity produced may be used to power the motor to spin the blades, while the excess electricity may be used for various purposes, such as for the utility grid.

Centripetal Magnet Accelerator

Duplicent’s centripetal magnet accelerator utilizes a configuration of magnets to spin magnets from magnetic forces alone, where the spinning of the magnets is harnessed to power a generator to produce electricity. The device has two sides of magnets: a raised cone magnet in a centered position, and a series of sloping wedge magnets on a circular track below the cone magnet with the tops of the sloping wedge magnets at a distance from and aligned with the sides of the cone magnet, where the direction of the slope is the same for each of the sloping wedge magnets. The tops of each of the sloping wedge magnets have repelling magnetic polarities to the sides of cone magnet, and where as the distance of the sloping wedge magnets changes from the cone magnet, more force is applied to the front-top side of the sloping wedge magnets and less force is applied to their back-top side. Because of this disparity in force, all the sloping wedge magnets move in the direction of greater force, in the direction of their front-top side. All the sloping wedge magnets move forward together on the circular track, and the rotation of the entire side of sloping wedge magnets is harnessed to spin a generator to produce electricity. As no electricity is required to operate the device, it produces a positive amount of electricity. The device produces electricity without producing carbon emissions. Many of these devices could work together to produce a large amount of electricity to supply electricity to the utility grid.

Road Brake

Duplicent’s road brake is a vehicle emergency braking device attached under a vehicle, and when deployed, it rapidly slows a vehicle by creating friction with the surface of the road. The device has a flat rubber pad that is mechanically lowered to press against the surface of the road, where the device starts horizontally aligned with the rubber pad raised, then when activated, actuators rapidly lower the rubber pad to the surface of the road. The device rapidly deploys in less than half a second and does not damage the road due to its rubber bottom. The device may deploy either by an acceleration measurement of the brake pedal or when the brake pedal is fully extended, then the device retracts after use for reuse. During normal driving, the retracted device maintains a low profile, so it is not viewable under the vehicle. The device has a braking surface area that is more than three times larger then that of the four tires combined, thus vehicles using the device have approximately three times greater stopping power than vehicles without the device, reducing the vehicle’s stopping distance by approximately three times. The device has the potential to reduce vehicle collisions and the severity of vehicle collisions, where a collision may be entirely avoided by braking, or the severity of a collision may be less from collision at a reduced speed from braking, reducing injuries and fatalities.

4 granted U.S. patents (BRAKING SYSTEM, United States of America, 11,053,994, 11,598,383, 11,802,599, 11,220,245).

Rotor Brake

Duplicent’s rotor brake increases the force of each brake of a vehicle through the use of two rotors for each brake that both move horizontally from actuators to each push against a brake pad, as a brake pad for each rotor pushes against a rotor, thereby it creates higher braking forces than conventional vehicle brakes that do not generate force from the movement of rotors, and do not have two rotors. The device has an increased braking surface area from the use of two rotors, creating more friction than traditional vehicle brakes in addition to its increased braking force from the movement of the rotors, with both aspects contributing to its improved braking performance. The design of the device allows for only one rotor and brake pad to brake independently of the other rotor and brake pad when more braking force is not needed, so that the two rotors and two brake pads would brake only when needed, such as in an emergency situation. The device decreases the stopping distance of vehicles when braking. The device has the potential to reduce vehicle collisions and the severity of vehicle collisions, where a collision may be entirely avoided by braking, or the severity of a collision may be less from collision at a reduced speed from braking, reducing injuries and fatalities.

Rotational Engine

Unlike traditional engines, the rotational engine’s pistons do not move back and forth linearly changing directions, but rather move circularly within a ring and do not change directions, thereby the engine conserves energy centripetally through the laws of centripetal motion. Fuel is injected into many expanding chambers within the ring with each chamber designed to expand in one direction, then the fuel is ignited, then the chambers each expand in one direction from the combustion forces, with the chambers pushing themselves forward in their expansion direction and moving freely within the ring. All the chambers around the ring are interconnected and move in the same direction to power the engine. The speed of the moving chambers is harnessed to power the vehicle. As energy is conserved, the engine is more efficient, requires less fuel to run, and has a greater output of power than conventional combustion engines.

2 granted U.S. patents (ROTATIONAL ENGINE WITH INNER AND OUTER RINGS, United States of America, 11,619,133, 12,098,641).

Full-Keyboard Smartphone

The absence of trackpads and the small keyboards of today’s smartphones does not allow for the use of desktop software on the smartphones. Duplicent’s full-keyboard smartphone is designed with a full keyboard and trackpad, which unfold from the back of its casing, then fold into the back of its casing when not in use, so the smartphone can convert to run desktop software such as word-processing applications. The full keyboard folds three ways horizontally overlapping, with the trackpad located at the bottom of the middle keyboard portion as its own fold. The full keyboard and trackpad are very thin and add minimal thickness to the overall device. When unfolded, a kickstand on the back of the smartphone toggles out to prop up the device for viewing. To maintain the low profile of the keyboard, its keys are touch sensitive.

The geofenced cloud applications streaming platform runs through a universal accessing software application on each smartphone, which automatically registers when a smartphone is at a geofenced location, streaming the cloud software application through the universal accessing software application. Software applications for locations would be custom designed to offer features such as inventory searching, store mapping, product information, a product locator, promotional notifications, product purchasing, etc. For example, a user could enter a store and use a streamed software application to find and purchase a product on their smartphone, after which the store would receive a copy of the receipt to verify the user’s items match their purchase. Geofenced cloud applications could offer real-time inventory management and real-time accounting management for the stores. Such business software may allow stores to better manage their businesses, also providing business intelligence and analytics. Geofenced cloud applications allows for numerous software applications for many stores to be used without downloading them so that smartphone memory and the user’s time is saved, providing the next level of functionality and ease of use for consumers.
